Why Sleepy Hollow? Being New Englander's, our family has always especially enjoyed the season of Fall. Autumn is a special time, abundant with color, mystery, fragrance, and a restful, sleepy quality, when earth is retiring, preparing herself for a long winter's nap. Harvest time resonates with memory. A time to remember. We recall years ago when we were first introduced to the intriguing tale, Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" Lonely school-master Ichabod Crane comes to Sleepy Hollow, and through a strange series of events, encounters the ghostly spectre of a headless Hessian horseman. The atmosphere, mood, and intensity of the story is quite unforgettable. We've always loved this special tale. Some years later we ventured into Hudson Valley to discover a very real place, the city of Tarrytown, NY, now named Sleepy Hollow. To our amazement we discovered some of the actual locations Irving used in his tale. Close by is Morningside, the home of Washington Iriving. What a tremendous place. Years later when pondering what to name our studio, fond memories of the tale and the season of Autumn convinced us: "Sleepy Hollow" Sleepy Hollow Tattoo & Design. Our central symbol is the Jack-O-Lantern, and of course the Headless Horseman. ~V. A. Lattanzi~ Sleepy Hollow Tattoo & Design was established in March of 1996, by the Lattanzi Family of Milford, CT. The family owns and runs the business to this day. They offer a comfortable, home-like atmosphere, in a sterile working enviornment. Clients can expect a friendly welcome, and great tattoos. The shop is open until Midnight every night! And the only day they close is Sunday. They are located on 249 Naugatuck Ave. Milford, CT Across from Aldario's Restaurant. Their recent move in late May 2005 to this new location, was due to a need for a larger shop with plenty of parking for clients, and also to remove themselves from the craziness of the bar scene in Downtown Milford, CT in which they spent 9+ years on 4 Daniel Street. ~Lose Your Head!~
